Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Safety leader to drive reliability and safety across a Wisconsin site. The role leads safety programs, coaches, and cross-department initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce risk.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a health care field, 7+ years in clinical care, and at least 2 years in safety or quality. CPPS certification within 12 months is preferred, with hybrid work and strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• CPPS designation to be obtained within 12 months unless exempt by leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in health care administration, nursing, or related field.
• 7+ years in clinical care, plus 2+ years in safety, quality, or risk management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with data collection, analysis and driving improvement.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate site patient safety program with leadership and frontline tools.
• Lead High Reliability Unit program, train safety coaches, and ensure sustainment.
• Coordinate safety efforts across departments to align with safety strategy.
• Present safety status to site executives and medical staff regularly.
• Investigate serious safety events and perform root cause analysis.
