Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Patient Safety leader to drive the site’s safety program, lead safety coaches, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to sustain a high reliability culture. You will manage investigations and corrective actions, and report outcomes to executive teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in health care and extensive clinical experience with safety/risk work, plus strong data analysis and communication skills to engage clinicians and leaders alike.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health care administration, nursing, or related field.
  • CPPS designation must be obtained within 12 months unless exempt.
  • 7+ years delivering clinical care with 2+ years in safety, quality or risk.
  • Ability to lead teams and drive improvement using data.
  • Strong communication across all organization levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site patient safety programs and coach safety initiatives.
  • Oversee safety events, investigations and action plans.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical leaders to advance safety culture.
  • Present safety status to site leadership and medical staff.
  • Develop and sustain training for safety coaches and teams.
