Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Safety Specialist to advance safety initiatives across its facilities. You will partner with leaders to review incidents, perform RCAs, and help translate findings into actionable plans.

The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and teamwork to foster a culture of safety. Hybrid Monday–Friday with clinical experience preferred; the incumbent will support regional safety outcomes and collaborate with hospital leaders to minimize risks and improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2-5 years experience in patient safety or clinical risk management preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills required.

Responsibilities

• Review incidents and conduct root cause analyses (RCAs).
• Develop and implement action plans to improve patient safety.
• Partner with leaders to ensure standardized safety workflows are followed.
• Provide guidance and education on patient safety and risk management.
• Support interfacility safety initiatives and risk management activities.
