Job summary

Salinas Valley Health Medical Center is seeking a Director of Quality and Safety to lead quality/performance improvement initiatives. You will oversee regulatory compliance, coordinate with medical and nursing staff, and drive patient safety initiatives and data-driven improvement programs.

You will report to the VP of Quality and Risk Management, lead the Quality Committee, and direct multidisciplinary teams to implement improvements and reduce risks across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other healthcare field required.
• CPHQ certification required.
• RN licensure in California or appropriate state.
• Minimum of 5 years in quality in an acute care setting with progressive leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for quality/PI activities to ensure regulatory and accrediting compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff to monitor and improve quality of care and patient safety.
• Lead strategic planning and implementation of quality improvements and reporting to the board and committees.
• Oversee data abstraction and reporting for CMS, Joint Commission, and other agencies.
• Develop and deploy resources across SVH to support quality and safety goals.
