University Health seeks a Director of Patient Safety to oversee the health system’s patient safety program under the Senior Vice President for Clinical Services. This role leads strategy and tactics to advance safe care across hospital and ambulatory settings, communicating with staff and providers to remove barriers to safe patient care.

The position emphasizes meeting Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals, administering safety surveys, and driving Magnet status and quality initiatives

Competenze

• RN with current Texas licensure.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• 5+ years in clinical/risk management.
• Experience in performance and process improvement.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork.

Mansioni

• Lead the system patient safety program and strategy.
• Identify barriers to safe patient care across hospital and ambulatory sites.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals.
• Administer system patient safety surveys and report findings to leadership.
