Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician to provide safety and care for patients under one-to-one supervision. Training will be provided during orientation, with duties including monitoring patients, adhering to isolation precautions, and assisting nurses in daily rounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to stay mobile as patients move, including standing for periods.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety under direction of Registered Nurse.
• Provide frequent checks on patients under watch.
• Assist in preventing falls and wandering of patients.
• Record and document patient behavior.
• Able to travel with patient when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
