Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Observer to help protect and monitor patients, ensuring safety under RN guidance. The role requires mobility, vigilance for isolation precautions, and accurate documentation of patient behavior.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to stay mobile and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in situations with isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Provide frequent checks on patients with a Patient Watch Order.
• Prevent patient wandering and give directions to keep patients safe.
• Travel with the patient when needed.
• Record and document patient behavior.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
