Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking staff to provide a safe environment for patients under One to One Supervision for Suicide Precautions and related monitoring. Training will be provided during orientation and roles include direct observation and safety duties.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient safety, following isolation protocols, documenting behavior, and traveling with patients when needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• The ability to stay mobile according to the patients' movement including the ability to stand for periods of time.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety of the Patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.
• Provide frequent checks on patients that have a Patient Watch Order.
• Provide direction to patient to ensure that they do not fall or wander off.
• Record and Document patient behavior.
• Must be able to travel with patient when needed
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned
• Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
