• Ensure environmental safety for patients.
• Answer call lights and route issues to the RN.
• Restock department supplies and equipment.
• Transport patients within the department and to other hospital locations.
• Clean patient equipment following established procedures.
• Complete patient safety sitter competency and all required documentation.
• Communicate changes in patient behavior to the RN.
• Engage in unit-based quality improvement activities as directed.
• Respect cultural beliefs; use interpreter services for patients with limited English proficiency.
