The role you’ll contribute:

The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) provides continuous observation and monitoring for high-risk patients, ensuring a safe environment and collaborating with the care team to prevent falls and self-harm. The PSA may also assist with basic activities of daily living.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Maintain a direct line of sight with the patient at all times, including during visits from family or visitors.
• Ensure patient safety during transportation, testing, and procedures outside the patient's normal environment.
• Create a safe, risk-free environment using fall prevention, infection control, and self-harm prevention protocols. Conduct room assessments regularly and after visits.
• Monitor the patient's physical and emotional condition, report changes promptly, and stay in direct sight of the patient.
• Intervene as needed to prevent harm, seeking immediate assistance for escalating incidents.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with a 90-day grace period

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
