Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a patient-focused food service worker to support inpatient meals and patient nourishment. Shifts are day-based with 40 hours per week, delivering meals and snacks and ensuring supplies are stocked to PAR levels.

You will also deliver room service menus and educate patients on the meal-order system. The role involves coordinating with nursing staff, using diet sheets, and processing orders while maintaining safety standards and quality control.

Qualifications

• Direct customer service experience preferred.
• Previous food service experience and/or work with therapeutic diets preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with nursing staff, nutrition techs, dietitians and call center staff.
• Uses computerized diet sheets and patient computer system to record meals and intake.
• Ensures HACCP guidelines are followed and orders meet diet parameters.
• Maintains quality control and effective coworker relationships.
