Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a patient food service worker to serve meals and snacks, maintain PAR level supplies and assist with room service order delivery while ensuring diet orders are followed.

You'll communicate with nurses, nutrition staff and call center personnel, use computerized diet sheets, document intake and calories, follow HACCP guidelines and process orders by phone. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Direct customer service experience preferred.
• Previous food service experience and/or work with therapeutic diets preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with nursing staff, nutrition techs, dietitians and call center staff to coordinate meals.
• Uses computerized diet sheets, accesses patient computer system, and records intake and calories.
• Obtains, transcribes and processes meal orders from patients and visitors over the telephone, verifying diet order parameters.
• Maintains HACCP guidelines and ensures appropriate menu for diet.
• Evaluates and maintains quality control standards.
