Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 6-12 months experience in hospitality.
• Ability to speak, read and write English clearly.
• Knowledge of medical terminology (e.g., T.I.D., B.I.D.).
• Basic math: conversions of oz, cc, ml.

Responsibilities

• Answer room service calls to obtain menu selections from patients or families.
• Communicate special patient needs to dietitians and kitchen staff.
• Follow physician diet orders for all patients.
• Update and maintain accurate patient files in computer.
• Ensure meal tickets comply with diet orders, allergies and identifiers.
