Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. The role supports patient comfort by preparing, assembling, and delivering meals per dietary guidelines, while maintaining cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced hospital kitchen.

You will assist with nourishments, patient trays, and event service, following infection prevention standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

Food Handlers card or Serv Safe certificate required within 6 months.
Ability to prepare and serve meals to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

Prepare, assemble, and serve meals following recipes and dietary guidelines.
Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Transport patient meal carts and collect soiled trays from nursing units.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Assist with nourishments, special events, and other food service needs.
Support patient satisfaction by minimizing food waste and promoting service quality.
Perform routine and deep cleaning of kitchen areas.
