Muenster Hospital District is seeking a Registration Clerk to register patients for outpatient and inpatient services, greet visitors, and manage calls. The role includes collecting and updating patient information for billing and handling payments in a courteous manner.

Maintaining HIPAA confidentiality, verifying insurance, and coordinating with providers for orders and scheduling are essential. Prior public or medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Typing speed of 45 wpm and operation of ten key adding machine/calculator.
• Familiar with operating personal computers.
• Licensure, Registry or Certification: None required.
• One year of experience working with the public preferred. Experience in a medical setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Muenster Hospital District.
• Maintains HIPAA required and all other confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis.
• Answers and accurately directs phone calls, greets and assists visitors.
• Collects and updates patient information for billing.
• Accepts patient payments and acts as liaison with patient family members or responsible parties.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Coordinate with providers when additional information is needed on an order.
• Coordinate with other departments on orders and scheduling needs.
• Go to bank for deposits and go to post office and check mailboxes for Clinic and Hospital.
• Approve Time Clock Plus hours daily and submit time off requests for management to approve.
