Job summary

R1 is seeking a Customer Service Representative - Patient Registration at Ascension Sacred Heart Navarre on a PRN, part‑time basis with day, evening and overnight availability.

You will be the first contact for patients, handling check‑in, verify insurance, collect co‑pays, and coordinate with care teams to ensure timely access to care. Training is provided; prior healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient access, medical registration, or front desk is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Register patients efficiently across multiple computer systems.
• Answer phones and collect accurate demographic and insurance data.
• Provide cost estimates and collect co-pays when applicable.
• Support timely access to care by reducing registration delays.
• Collaborate with nurses and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Cross-train in multiple departments as needed.
