Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Patient Financial Services professional to verify insurance, register patients, and support billing operations across multiple locations. The role requires strong attention to detail and excellent customer service, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The incumbent will handle data entry, collect deposits as required, and coordinate with clinicians and offices to ensure accurate patient information and timely payment

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.
• Certification such as CPAR or CHAA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, clinical staff, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification to ensure quality patient care and payment of hospital accounts.
• Interviews patients and families to obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information.
• Enters data into system for registration, billing, patient tracking, charge capture, and reconciliation.
• Verifies insurance coverage and/or validates authorizations if applicable.
• Assists Patient Accounting by capturing accurate data to produce clean claims and prevent denials.
