Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Patient Registration - Customer Service Representative in Kansas to help patients check into the hospital and answer questions with empathy.

You will collect information accurately across multiple screens and communicate with clinicians while maintaining speed and accuracy in a busy setting. Training will be provided; healthcare experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and handle sensitive information is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service experience required.
• Must be prepared to see illness and injuries during hospital registration.

Responsibilities

• Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment.
• Input details accurately between physician and nurse check-ins.
• Work across multiple programs and type as quickly as patients speak.
• Help people who may be very ill or worried and build rapport in real time.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment while guiding patients through registration.
