Variety Care Inc. is seeking a Registration Specialist to load patient data into the OCHIN Epic system ahead of appointments. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to support accurate registration and billing in a fast-paced clinic environment.

You will verify insurance benefits, manage eligibility, and assist clinics with billing processes while ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient service excellence.

Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial requirements.
• Proficient understanding of insurance eligibility, plans and benefits.
• Strong Revenue Cycle Management knowledge and impact on patient care and billing.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in telephonic registration and data entry accuracy.
• Complete insurance verification 3-5 days prior and document notes in Epic.
• Submit electronic insurance verification via Epic or portals; verify benefits and payments.
• Maintain knowledge of contracted insurances accepted at Variety Care.
• Provide direct support to clinics regarding eligibility inquiries.
• Ensure accurate insurance eligibility, benefits and financial information for billing and collections.
• Assist with SFDP documentation and declaration of income where required.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance in relation to billing, collections and PHI.
