Qualifications

• Must have the skills and ability for successful performance in a busy ambulatory setting.
• Demonstrated customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner.
• Demonstrated experience using a multi-line telephone system.
• Demonstrated ability to enter data accurately and retrieve information.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients in ambulatory clinics.
• Perform general clerical and reception duties.
• Enter patient data into the registration system and verify insurance/coverage.
• Schedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments.
