Pana Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Registration Representativeto register inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary service patients while ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, physician, and financial information. Responsibilities include obtaining required signatures, completing insurance verification and Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaires, providing privacy notices, collecting payments when applicable, assisting patients with financial assistance options, and following Good Faith Estimate and Fair Patient Billing requirements. The position also provides switchboard coverage and assists patients, visitors, and callers with inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies. Salary Range:$18.08-$21.70 (based experience)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous healthcare or patient registration experience preferred.
• Strong typing, telephone, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to learn and perform switchboard operations and hospital code procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Ability to handle inquiries from patients, visitors, and callers efficiently and courteously.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and hospital policies.
