Job summary

Advocate Health in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative to serve as the first impression for our Revenue Cycle team. You will register patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and document patient information with HIPAA compliance.

The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and ability to work with electronic health records and billing systems such as EPIC. A flexible schedule with minimum monthly shifts is expected.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record and avoid duplicates.
• Check in and register patients; verify demographics and insurance.
• Discuss and collect co-pays and other patient responsibilities.
• Know when to refer patients to Financial Advocates.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage and billing expectations.
• Provide welcoming, professional service to patients and visitors.
• Monitor and work on EHR work queues according to process.
