Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Registration Clerk to support patient intake and billing within the Revenue Cycle. You will check in patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and explain financial responsibilities to ensure accurate records and timely payments.

The role requires a High School Diploma, strong customer service, HIPAA compliance, and proficiency with EPIC EMR and office tools. Work is full-time, 32 hours per week, with evenings and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• Experience in fast-paced healthcare clerical work is preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC EMR and insurance verification is helpful.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Creates the initial electronic health record to establish the patient file.
• Checks in and registers patients; collects demographics and insurance info; discusses co-pays.
• Explains financial responsibilities and refers to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and privacy rules.
• Schedules patient appointments and communicates test prep instructions and directions.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists patients and visitors as needed.
