Job summary

HonorHealth Thompson Peak Medical Center is seeking a friendly Patient Access Clerk to act as the first point of contact for patients. You will handle registration, scheduling, data entry, and chart maintenance to support the Wound Clinic’s daily operations.

The role requires strong communication skills, basic billing knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with physicians and insurance for authorizations. Prior experience in healthcare scheduling or registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in healthcare or 2 years in scheduling/registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and manage phone calls to direct inquiries.
• Schedule procedures and manage patient appointments, track no-shows.
• Register patients and collect required signatures and authorizations.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure accurate data entry and file routing.
• Coordinate with insurance for authorizations and billing; collect co-pays.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies and support imaging workflow.
