Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in EPIC EMR and standard office software.

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Familiar with medical terminology and billing basics.
• Experience with insurance verification and eligibility tools is preferred.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Creates the initial electronic health record for the patient.
• Checks in and registers patients; verifies demographics and insurance.
• Discusses and collects co-pays and other out-of-pocket responsibilities.
• Maintains confidentiality and ensures HIPAA compliance.
• May schedule appointments and coordinate cancellations or recalls.
• Greets patients, answers phones, and provides assistance as needed.
• Monitors and manages electronic health record work queues.
