Job summary

North Idaho Dermatology seeks a Registration/Patient Intake Coordinator for our Coeur d'Alene clinic. This full-time position handles front desk duties, gathers demographic and insurance data, and supports patient flow throughout visits. The role requires excellent customer service, HIPAA awareness, and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Google Docs). Typical hours are 6:30 a.m.

– 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• 1 year of clinical front desk experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• General understanding of HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Google Docs.
• Ten Key experience preferred.
• Dermatology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a warm, positive attitude.
• Check-in/check-out patients and collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Answer calls promptly and professionally; redirect when needed.
• Collect co-payments as required.
• Assist with insurance verification for new and existing patients.
• Schedule appointments and make reminder calls.
• Maintain a balanced end-of-day cash box.
• Keep waiting area clean and organized.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.
• Maintain diplomacy and privacy per policies and HIPAA.
• Follow safety and security policies and North Idaho Dermatology Core Values.
• Willingness to travel to other North Idaho Dermatology offices as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
