Job summary

The Baton Rouge Clinic is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to manage patient intake and related tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will greet patients, collect information, verify insurance, process payments, and support the front desk with administrativ e duties.

Requirements include a high school diploma and experience as a patient representative, with proficiency in MS Office and strong multitasking abilities. This is an on-site role in Baton Rouge, LA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience as a patient representative preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terms and practices helpful.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and able to learn new systems.
• 6 months cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients to examination rooms.
• Schedule patient appointments and send reminders.
• Inform patients about delays and waiting times.
• Collect and verify patient addresses, contact details, insurance info, and medical histories.
• Update and verify patient information at every visit.
• Assist patients with forms (history, consent, payment) when needed.
• Process cash and credit card payments for services.
• Review accounts, identify delinquent payments, and collect overdue amounts.
• Answer inquiries or direct to appropriate staff; follow up on unresolved issues.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed.
