Job summary

Children’s Colorado is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to support admissions, registration, and check-in/check-out processes while delivering high-level customer service to patients, families, and referring practices.

This role handles insurance information collection, estimates patient financial responsibility, and coordinates with care teams to ensure smooth pre-service workflows and accurate data entry in the medical records system. PRN - As needed schedule; varies by department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Registration, scheduling, patient greeting, directions, and check-in/out support.
• Follow department policies; provide customer service to patients, families, and staff.
• Collect patient insurance info; document payment method and financial responsibility.
• Assist with referrals, pre-authorizations, and eligibility determinations.
• Explain benefits and costs; communicate personalized financial estimates.
• Obtain treatment consent signatures; verify consent and state regulations.
• Collect and update patient demographic information.
• Answer calls to schedule appointments and route inquiries.
• Enter patient data into the medical records system accurately.
• Conduct patient and family rounding to ensure comfort.
