Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 1 year of health care experience preferred.
• CPR certification as determined by manager.
• Demonstrated computer skills and strong organizational ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient/customer service following SOPs.
• Interview and register patients in registration areas.
• Collect accurate demographics, insurance, and physician data.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain differences to the customer.
• Ensure pre-certification and referral requirements are met; explain to customer.
• Identify self-pay patients and refer to financial assistance if applicable.
• Communicate with all departments and clinical staff involved.
• Assist in shadowing/precepting new employees.
