Job summary

Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Neurology Practice is seeking a Registration Representative responsible for patient registration, charge entry, POS collections, and related services.

You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect demographics, schedule appointments, and handle deposits and record keeping. The role requires High School diploma and at least 6 months experience. This is a full-time position at the General-MSOB location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months related experience.
• Ability to obtain and verify patient information, insurance coverage, and demographics.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, explain payment policy and insurance coverage.
• Discharge patients, document charges/payments, and maintain medical records.
• Process appointments, send new patient packets, and maintain scheduling accuracy.
• Process daily payments, charges, balances, and claim edits.
• Answer calls and provide information; refer medical questions to staff as needed.
• Assist clinical personnel with clerical duties and patient preparation.
• Handle daily deposits and filing of records.
• Assist with inventory, supplies, and mail processing.
• Open and route mail; process medical record requests; complete edits reports.
• Cross-train across practices/departments as needed.
