Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with questions and provide courteous assistance.
• Regulate schedules based on procedure requirements and staffing needs.
• Pre-register patients by obtaining accurate demographic information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collect and record patient financial responsibility estimates.
• Communicate operative reports to physician offices daily.
• Maintain registration documentation for patient records.
• Collect co-pays or deductibles and inform patients of obligations.
• Assist with understanding insurance requirements and questions.
• Document consent forms when patient cannot sign, or nursing sign-off if needed.
• Place armbands on patients for proper identification.
• Answer and return phone calls professionally.
• Perform other duties and maintain regular attendance.
