WhidbeyHealth is seeking a Patient Registrar to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling reception, scheduling, and patient registration with a focus on accuracy and service quality.

The role supports a smooth patient flow, collects co-pays, verifies insurance, and maintains EMR records. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred with prior experience using an electronic health record.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes all patients and visitors to the department or clinic, providing directional and informational assistance.
• Maintains patient schedule for department or clinic and schedules appointments within established guidelines.
• Answers all incoming calls promptly, professionally, and courteously.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and ensures insurance authorization is obtained.
• Collects co-payments at time of registration.
• Registers patients in the Electronic Medical Record with accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Ensures all required release forms are signed upon registration.
• Scans critical documents into the Electronic Medical Record.
