Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registrar is responsible for timely and accurate patient registration. You will interview patients for all pertinent account information and verify insurance coverage.

Responsibilities include:

• Interview patients at workstation or bedside to obtain necessary account information, utilizing carts/computers on wheels for bedside registration.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Obtain necessary signatures for treatments and financial documents.
• Process patient charts according to workflow and productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients or responsible individuals to gather demographic and insurance information.
• Assign insurance plans accurately.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status, initiating requests as needed.
• Secure signatures for treatments, release of information, and insurance benefits; obtain copies of IDs and insurance cards.
• Explain policies regarding services, pricing, billing, and payments.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: 1 year of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
