Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a detail-oriented coordinator to act as the liaison between insurance and healthcare providers for patient referrals to specialty visits. Qualifications

• Associate degree plus one year of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED plus three years as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• High school diploma or GED plus five years related to referrals, scheduling, or registration.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of the clinic's patient referral requests to ensure timely completion for patient care.
• Primary contact for patient referrals and for receiving, tracking and maintaining referral requests.
• Schedule appointments for specialty consultations, radiology and laboratory testing.

Education

Associate degree + 1 year related experience

High school diploma or GED + 3 years CMA experience

High school diploma or GED + 5 years related experience
