Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistants program preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Ohio nursing license if applicable.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; strong written and verbal communication.
• Spanish language ability desirable.

Responsibilities

• Track and log referral follow ups in i2i.
• Contact patients to follow up on their referral status.
• Connect patients to specialty providers considering location, insurances, appointment availability and patient preferences.
• Close referral loops after receipt of specialty consult note or after multiple follow up attempts.
• Collect and analyze specialist information including office hours, insurances, and timeliness of response.
