Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Health Information Specialist I in Philadelphia, onsite, to handle front desk duties, patient interactions, ROI requests, and image burning to CDs. This patient-facing role requires accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and a commitment to service.

You will answer calls, process records, manage mail and fax, and support data entry and administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality. Opportunities for growth exist within the healthcare organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a front desk environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the front desk point of contact for patient walk-ins.
• Provide phone support to patients, providers, and authorized requestors.
• Process Release of Information (ROI) requests accurately and timely.
• Fax, scan, and manage incoming and outgoing medical record requests.
• Burn medical images to CDs and share images electronically as required.
• Support client relationship management through professional communication.
• Assist with reporting and administrative duties such as data entry and email.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and facility policies.
