Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Patient Relations Ambassador to serve as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital staff regarding patient property. The role involves rounding on Emergency Department and inpatient units to collect belongings, documenting outcomes, and coordinating dispositions with appropriate departments.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred) and 1–3 years of healthcare experience, with strong interpersonal and written communication

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
• Must be able to sit/stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on Emergency Department and inpatient units to collect belongings as directed.
• Communicates with patients/families about found items, determines disposition, and facilitates return via mailroom or courier services.
• Investigates property issues, maintains tracking for loss complaints and reimbursements, and documents outcomes.
