Job summary

UPMC is seeking individuals to support daily operations of hospital parking services, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming experience for patients and visitors. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service while handling patient and visitor vehicles with care.

Typical shifts run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with most employees working Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Flexibility may be needed for additional hours to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Courteous and professional interaction with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Adherence to safety and operational procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• Operate the department's radios according to established procedures.
• Operate vehicles in the valet service safely and responsibly.
• Store keys according to departmental procedure.
• Notify the parking supervisor immediately of any vehicle damage.
• Represent the unit with respect, courtesy, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
• Ensure information on tags and log sheets is complete.
• Assist with parking and traffic control as directed by leadership.
• Accept directions from team leaders and supervisors.
• Respond quickly to driveway/garage assignments to transport vehicles.
• Be punctual and in uniform for duty.
