Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks a Nutrition Services Manager to lead patient-focused nutrition service delivery. You will supervise floor staff, ensure timely meal service, and enforce HACCP compliance while coordinating with nursing to enhance patient experience.

The role requires leadership in a healthcare setting, extensive training oversight, and collaboration with facilities and departments to maintain quality standards and improve satisfaction scores.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Food Handler's card per local health department requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field and eligibility for registration.
• CDM Certification upon hire.
• CFM Certification upon hire.
• RD or DTR registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Four years of supervisory experience in healthcare nutrition patient services.

Responsibilities

• Conducts tray checks on tray line and audits to ensure high-quality, diet-appropriate meals with excellent service.
• Oversees staff training on delivery standards and patient interaction; monitors performance for service quality.
• Maintains sanitation and safety of patient services areas and ensures adherence to HACCP and temperature controls.
• Ensures proper storage of food, paper, and chemicals and reports non-functional equipment for repairs.
• Maintains temperature logs and acts on unacceptable readings; supports problem solving with nursing.
