Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Food and Nutrition Patient Service Manager to direct patient meal services across units, ensure satisfaction, and uphold the company values. The role supervises the Dietary Department during shifts and supports service-excellence culture within the team.

The position requires 1–2 years of supervisory experience and a minimum of 3 years in institutional food production, with an emphasis on compliance, quality, and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years supervisory experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in institutional food production.
• Associates degree in Food Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with recruiting, interviewing, coaching, evaluating, and managing department staff.
• Provides daily supervision, scheduling, and workload coordination for Food and Nutrition team members.
• Trains, orients, and develops employees while ensuring completion of required departmental and organizational education.
• Promotes a culture of service excellence, employee engagement, safety, and teamwork.
• Ensures compliance with food service regulations, department policies, safety standards, infection prevention practices, and emergency procedures.
• Oversees food service operations, including meal quality, accuracy, portion control, patient diet requirements, and timely meal delivery.
• Manages department inventory, supplies, equipment concerns, and maintains readiness for regulatory inspections and surveys.
