Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Florida seeks a Nutrition Attendant to provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, physicians and nursing while assisting with meal service according to Food and Nutrition Service Standards.

You will explain menus, advise on basic diet instructions, document preferences, train new staff when needed and support department initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts as well as weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
• Prefer one (1) year experience high volume, direct customer interaction.
• Prefer ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, hospital staff, fellow workers and department management team.
• Prefer ability to read and understand written instructions and use a tablet (iPad).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, physicians and nursing for a variety of meal service necessities by following Food and Nutrition Service Standards.
• As required, facilitates training of new employees and assists with ongoing education for various department initiatives.

Education

HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
