Job summary

Universal Health Services at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL seeks a Food and Nutrition Patient Service Manager to lead meal service operations on patient care units, ensuring satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise the Dietary Department, coordinate staff, train employees, and promote service excellence in a fast-paced hospital environment with a strong focus on quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Associates degree in Food Management preferred.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in institutional food production required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with recruiting, interviewing, coaching, evaluating, and managing department staff.
• Provides daily supervision, scheduling, and workload coordination for Food and Nutrition team members.
• Trains, orients, and develops employees while ensuring completion of required departmental and organizational education.
• Promotes a culture of service excellence, employee engagement, safety, and teamwork.
• Ensures compliance with food service regulations, department policies, safety standards, infection prevention practices, and emergency procedures.
• Oversees food service operations, including meal quality, accuracy, portion ocntrol, patient diet requirements, and timely meal delivery.
• Manages department inventory, supplies, equipment concerns, and mantains readiness for regulatory inspections and surverys.
• Supports departmental operations through effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, cost management, and coordination of catering and patient nutrition initiatives.
