Responsibilities

• Follows proper telephone etiquette and procedures with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet according to allergies, cultural and religious preferences.
• Resolves patient concerns or complaints promptly or reports to supervisor when needed.
• Adheres to dietary restrictions to meet patient needs within diet orders.
• Coordinates with nursing to ensure diet prescriptions are accurate and needs are met.
• Maintains confidentiality and respects patients' rights per HIPAA policies.
