Responsibilities

• Follows proper telephone etiquette and procedures with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
• Responds to patients needs and resolves concerns or reports needed assistance.
• Ensures dietary restrictions are met within diet order guidelines.
• Interacts with nursing to ensure accurate diet prescriptions and patient food needs.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA policies.
• Follows health and sanitation regulations and HACCP guidelines.
• Completes daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
