Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Patient Navigator to support hereditary cancer genetic testing. The role guides patients through education, scheduling, specimen collection, and follow-up while collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure an exceptional patient journey.

The position is full-time, in-person at our Lakewood location with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• 2+ years of clinical experience (front or back office).
• 2+ years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish.
• Provide education on testing, procedures, and next steps.
• Serve as the primary patient contact to ensure a supportive experience.
• Conduct structured patient consultations for clarity and consistency.
• Build relationships with partner site staff and clinical teams.
• Own patient cases, scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow coordination.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
