Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a Patient Navigation Specialist for a hybrid role based in Needham, MA, with travel to other BILH locations as needed. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; education may be substituted with equivalent experience.
• HIPAA training required upon hire.
• 5–7 years of related healthcare experience in patient services, care coordination, or high-touch environments.
• Experience with Epic, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with philanthropy-based CRM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary resource for patients, providing responsive and compassionate support via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, transfers, and access to specialty care across BILH and community hospitals.
• Collaborate with the Divisional VP to support navigation needs across sites.
• Assist patients and families in understanding care pathways and available resources.
• Promote clear communication between patients and care teams; uphold dignity, respect, and equitable access.
