Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services in Anderson, IN is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Patient Observation Assistant positions at Ascension St Vincent Anderson. You will monitor patients under RN direction, support safety, and assist with daily activities in a hospital setting.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification within 30 days if required, ability to stand/walk for shifts, and 1–2 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous related experience preferred (1–2 years).
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days if required at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitor the patient’s condition and behavior at all times.
• Complete observation reports at established intervals.
• Assist with patient meals, positioning, and safe transport within the unit.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate to nursing staff as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and a clean, orderly environment.
• Participate in hand-off communications at shift changes.
