Job summary

Compass Group USA seeks a Patient Observation Assistant in Anderson, IN. Positions are available for full-time and part-time schedules with rotating weekends/holidays. Training is provided and prior patient observation experience is preferred.

Address: St Vincent Anderson, 2015 Jackson Street, Anderson, IN 46016. The role requires vigilance, the ability to stand/walk for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds while supporting patient safety and care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitor the assigned patient’s condition at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remains at the bedside unless relieved by staff and communicates with the nurse.
• Escalates patient safety concerns and assists with patient needs.
• Assists with meal setup, transport within the unit, and basic positioning.
