Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services is hiring for PATIENT OBSERVATION ASSISTANT (TRAVELER) roles in Indianapolis. Positions available on a full-time and part-time basis, requiring travel between Ascension St. Vincent locations across multiple sites.

Training starts at Ascension St. Vincent 86th Street; travel locations include Carmel, Fishers, and more. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour with a $1 travel stipend per shift. Rotating weekends/holidays required, details at interview.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
• One to two years of previous observation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remains at the bedside of the assigned patient unless relieved by staff.
• Assists with preparing and assisting with patient mobility and meals as needed.
• Responds to emergencies and notifies nursing staff promptly.
• Participates in hand-offs and shares pertinent patient information.
• Maintains patient safety and a clean, safe environment at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
