Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver, CO, is seeking an experienced leader to oversee patient meal services within our Culinary Services department. You will coordinate daily operations, implement clinical best practices, and partner with nursing to meet patient nutrition needs while controlling costs.

As a Registered Dietitian, you will recruit and train staff, monitor food safety and patient satisfaction, drive quality improvement, and ensure adherence to provider orders and dietary guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management; Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).
• ServSafe certification obtained within 90 days of hire date if not current.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to meet patients’ needs and educate staff on dietary guidelines.
• Leads patient meal areas and ensures diets follow provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care and services cost-effectively.

• Manages HR functions including hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, and discipline.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores and drives improvement.
